Peak Oil TV

By Chris | January 13, 2009 |

Once you get beyond the hokey production quality, the hippy host and “Patty The Weather Girl”, there’s some great discussion going on in this episode of TVSet, a community access television show that has been around for 18 years in Portland, Oregon.

On January 10 the long-running public affairs television show did a one-hour talk show about collapse — energy and socioeconomic.  The program was advertised as “A well-considered discussion of scenarios that may occur post Peak Oil, offering visions of our future.”

Guests of this prgram were: Jan Lundberg (oil industry analyst/writer and producer of Culture Change) Mark Lakeman (City Repair), Jerry Erwin (disaster consultant/military intelligence officer), Per Fagereng (KBOO radio show host), Bruno Amicci (Red Cross), Deb Delman (Pangaea Project), John Kellerman (musician, and Transition Town member), Tod Sloan (psychologist, Lewis and Clark College and Transition Town member), and host Jim Wrathall.

One of the things that kept me watching was A/ Jan Lundberg was on it, and B/ a couple of the other guests are involved in the Transition Town concept which I find myself drawn to.

So, tune in for the great discussion and giggle at the other bits.

Well it’s official; the banking system has collapsed and is beyond the point of repair. The only solution left is to get rid of all the “bad” investments and start anew. At least, another 1.2 trillion dollars to the banks to restart!
