Ever notice on Monmouth road the new row houses they built to fit in with the area? Couldn’t we expect the same in our downtown. Afterall, itis only the heart of the city.
By the way, where were the Ward 3 and Ward 2 councillors? Is it any wonder both wards are losing population and the decay continues?
That was Dr. Dante Capaldi (Portofino Condo’s on Riverside) who built those townhouses in Walkerville. That a developer would take the care to construct infill development like that in this city earned a lot of my respect. He also redeveloped the old Walker 917 (California’s) into loft space/commercial mixed-use space (some of the best wood-fired pizza is made at Big Tony’s in that building).
Now there’s a developer that we need to see more of in the near future!
