So, how secure do you feel about your access to good, quality food items?
Have you really thought about it?
There has been, and probably will be for some time, far-reaching concerns regarding the quality and availability to good, wholesome food - and that is what this weeks show is about. Community activists doing something about that stuff that goes in their bellies.
Dr. Jamey Essex of FedUp Windsor and front-yard farmer / WECSA (Windsor/Essex Community Supported Agriculture) pioneer Steve Green joined Andrew and I in the studio this week to talk about their projects and the topic of food security in general. It is good to know that there are people out there harvesting long-lost agricultural knowledge for when peak-food takes this society by surprise.
So listen to the show then get out there and dig in the dirt. I know I’m going to be expanding my garden in prearation for the spring! I know I’m going to be needing some of the knowledge that these guys have to share.
Music:
Lead in tune, as always, was If I Had To Eat You by Ten Indians.
Enjoy!
