Winner - CJAM 91.5 FM 2009’s “Best New Show”
Yes, we did it! With a multitude of thanks being sent out to each and every one of you for your support, I wanted to let you know that with your help, ScaleDown Radio won this years “Best New Show” award at the Jammy awards last night!
I must admit, I really did not expect to win this award. We were going up against a ton of excellent programmers, and to tell you the truth - doing our show is just so much fun that it doesn’t seem like work at all!
As well, a “Reliable Source” told me last night that we came within 4 votes of winning the “Best Spoken Word” program! This is huge, since we were runners-up against long-time winners “Animal Airwaves“, who take this award every year! In a little over a year, we were able to garner enough support to come close to unseating this favourite. Thank you so much for everything, folks.
I also wanted to congratulate all the other winners, as well as every single programmer on the CJAM airwaves who didn’t take home an award. You folks are inspirational, and truly raise the bar when it comes to engaged, passionate volunteers. I wish 10% of the organizations I work with have the devotion that CJAM volunteers have!
So, on behalf of Andrew, Mark and myself, we look forward to more great shows and more Jammy awards in the future. The show is a wonderful way to get a different perspective on ScaleDown-ish issues, as we have guests on the show that we would never have access to otherwise. The power of the radio is a wonderful resource, and I want to thank Adam, Cassie, Chris and the bevy of volunteers at CJAM for giving us the opportunity to utilize it.

So who gets to keep the award? Oh! Woooo Hooooo! Now you have to have a Jammie party! Not PAjammas though!
Congratulations guys - well deserved!
Congratulations and thank you for all the efforts you guys put into the show.
Thanks gents! Luckily, the bright crew at CJAM knew trouble would be had if they didn’t give us each an award, so they had three made up with our names on them.
