In Windsor, we have the DeCouncil Cut, five kilometres of paper connecting every study ever done and going nowhere!

Given the state of the economy in Detroit and Michigan it appears that more progressive thinking is going on than in Windsor and Detroit is in more dire straits than Windsor, though we are catching up.

We should take not from this development. Using this example, it might be better to utilized the proposed canal lands for a bike path that links the south to downtown. It would probably be cheaper and encourage urban living and a recreational link to the downtown area.

    Just some thoughts.

    Thanks for the post Chris!

Ron - I was at a presentation about the Canal at the Art Gallery a few weeks ago, and Alan Halberstadt was there as well. He asked about bike lanes, etc in the canal area.

He was told, none are planned.
