ScaleDown Radio, December 29, 2008

By Chris | December 31, 2008 |

Our On-Air home Monday's from noon 'till 1:00

In studio today we had the opportunity to host Shawn Micallef, the senior editor with Toronto’s Spacing Magazine, and we took full advantage of it.

Shawn was in town for the holidays, but was constantly “working” while here. We partnered with Phog Lounge, InternationalMetropolis.com and Spacing magazine to host Windsor’s first-ever Psycho-Geography walk and it was a huge success. So, we took the opportunity to discuss the concept of psychogeography with Shawn, as well as tapped into his mind when it comes to another one of his wildly-successful projects, [murmur]. Imagine listening to intimate and engaging stories about various places around the city, by the people who shaped those spaces, all through the convenience and comfort of your cell phone. Well, Shawn did better than imagine it - he did it.

New Years resolutions flew around the studio as well. Be sure to keep us honest and keep in touch with us in 2009. Call our bluffs if we falter or give us a pat on the back if we succeed.

On behalf of your ScaleDown Radio co-hosts, Mark Boscariol and Andrew Foot, I wold like to take this opportunity to wish everyone - listeners or not - the very best in 2009. You make this job worth doing, and worth doing well!
